Psychic categories in Push
Movers
Movers can telekinetically move both animate and inanimate objects by manipulating the surrounding gravitational fields. Actually handling something (or someone) requires more skill and finesse than simply pushing or pulling it in a given direction. Depending on the size of the object and the force needed to move it, the nearby air may appear warped with a multicolored flare of light. Additionally, Movers can augment their punches and kicks by amplifying the force behind the strikes, and they can create deflective shields by altering the density of air molecules around themselves.
Watchers
Watchers are precognitives who can predict the future by seeing events before they happen. The ability level of a Watcher determines how far ahead they can see and with what degree of detail. Because the future can be changed by even the smallest of choices, Watchers experience shifting visions as new events unfold.
Pushers
Pushers specialize in influencing the minds of others, making them believe what the Pusher wants them to think. When Pushers assert their powers, their pupils temporarily dilate, sometimes to the point of extending beyond their sclerae, making the whites of their eyes appear black. Currently, there is no known method for mentally resisting a Pusher.
Sniffs
Sniffs are psychometrics who are able to sense an object's history by smelling it and/or touching it. To avoid any unwanted triggering of their ability, Sniffs will wear gloves when handling items of interest.
Bleeders
Bleeders do not possess psychic abilities; however, they are capable of debilitating psychics and non-psychics alike by screaming at such high pitches that their victims' blood vessels rupture from the sonic vibrations. Because of the protective synthetics embedded in their bodies, Bleeders are immune to their own sounds and to those of other Bleeders.
Wipers
Wipers erase memories through tactile contact, rendering their target unconscious for an unspecified length of time. It is unknown whether or not a Wiped individual can eventually recover the lost memories on their own, or if a Wiper can undo the work they have done.
Stitches
Stitches are psychic healers of physical injuries. They are also capable of re-inflicting damage by undoing their own healing efforts, and they may be able to use the inverse of their abilities to cause new ailments altogether.
Shifters
Shifters can create sensory illusions with the use of preexisting objects. An earring can be made to resemble a bead; a blank piece of appropriately sized paper can be changed to look like an $100 bill. The effects are not permanent, though, and they will wear off after so long.
Shadows
Shadows interfere with the abilities of other psychics, mainly those of Sniffers and Watchers. Shadowing an object or a person will render them undetectable to psychic senses but not to conventional physical ones (i.e., sight, sound, touch, etc.). In order for their shielding to work, Shadows must be awake and conscious, so it's common for them to work together in pairs, alternating watches.
